Big Fun Day

We had such a fun and busy day yesterday. First we went to the Rhea Lana childrens consignment sale. I found Kinley 4 outfits, a pair of shoes, a couple books and a puzzle.  Not bad.

After our shopping outting, we went to our Sunday School class playgroup. Here's Kinley, Ben and Sarah Kate hanging out at this great table. My friend Amy hosted playgroup this week. She has a 2 year old and twins that will be one in a few weeks. This is their 3 in 1 highchair. How cool is this!!
We had such a fun time playing and visitng and eating. I think there were 8 moms and 13 kids. Sadly this is the only picture I took :(
After a fun playgroup, we headed for Kinley's first haircut. On a normal day, Kinley has a 1 hour morning nap and a 1-2 hour afternoon nap.  So far in our day, she has not napped. So I was waiting for the meltdown. I've heard so many stories about kids who are so scared and throw fits when they get their haircut, but Miss K did awesome!

First she sat in this booster to get the back of her hair cut.

Then we moved to the chair so she could eat her giant lollipop. This was a last minute thought as we were on our way to the salon. I stopped at Walgreens to get somekind of "distractor". It worked!

Here she is all done with her big girl haircut and her "nummy" sucker.

This is on the trip home. Bless her heart she was exhausted!

By the time we made it back to the house, she had slept enough to gain enough steam for the evening. The weather offered just a little taste of Spring yesterday so we indulged a bit with a trip around the block in Kinley's car. She got this for Christmas and this is the first time we've been able to use it outside. I do think she loved it though. It was a couple of sound effects, one of which she is very fond and played it the entire stoll. I'll be just fine if I don't hear that noise for a day or two. Such fun!

For the record, we've been 3 nights without our ba-ba! Woo-hoo! Althought last night was a little rough and she slept in our bed for the first time.
Have a great weekend!

What a great idea!! I will have to try the BIG sucker. I am so glad you got a pic of playgroup, we had so much fun having everyone over! Not that it matters, and like I would expect anyone to remember, but the twins are almost 1 yr old this month. Shocker, I know...they are little peanuts...that's preemies for ya!
