13 months

I know I say this each month as the 11th rolls around, but I can't believe she's 13 months.
Kinley is such a ball of fun! She does something new and funny everyday. Of course I think she is the smartest 13 month old. She will say about anything you ask her to. Right now, and I hope it continues into adulthood, she LOVES books. She brings me book after book to sit and read to her. And I love every second of it. Even when it means I can't get things done.
Here are a few more pictures from the family photo shoot a few weeks ago.

We got K this shopping cart for her b-day and she is just now really getting the hang of it. I can't help but laugh everytime she puts something new in it and pushes it around. Too funny. She loves playing in our closet. You'll notice the big purse and scarf on top that she added to her buggy!

Like I said, she loves the closet. PLEASE don't pay attention to the clutter in there! The last week or so Kinley has started "singing". Notice the facial expressions. Histerical! I pray she has a better voice than me. This isn't her best performance, but it was the best I could get on video. Enjoy!

Thankful

We had a great Thanksgiving break! First stop Dallas for Freeze Thanksgiving and fun with cousins.
Nash and Kinley are 6 weeks apart and they are so fun to watch. They thought Elmo Live was hilarious!

Mason is so sweet with Kinley. They were making faces at each other.

Saturday was the Millwood family reunion. I think there were 55 of us! Oldest (and spunkiest) member, my great grandmother - 94.
5 Generations!
My cousin Jenna, who has started a photography business, took our family picture. I am having the hardest time trying to decide which to order because they are all good. Here's my favorite of Kinley by herself. So sassy!
I am so blessed...and thankful!

Show Me Your Teeth

I know this won't be as funny to you as it is to me because I am her Momma and I think she's the most precious girl ever, but I wanted to share it anyway. Enjoy!

The Party and More

We had the official b-day party on Saturday. It was held in south AR so the deer hunters in our family (DaDa and Pop) would be in attendance! There were about 30 of us and it was a fun time. Thank you all for coming and for your generosity to Kinley on her 1st birthday!!
Here's the b-day girl! She was way too busy to look at the camera

Cute decor
Isn't this precious?!!

The smash cake
Cousin Nash and Kinley giving kisses

Who cares about presents, just give me the paper!

So sweet, picking off the dots
That's my girl! I knew she would get the hang of it!

The SMASHED cake
Nash digging in too!
Zach and I agreed it has been the best year of our lives!

Miss K had her 12 month check up yesterday so we have official stats!
She weighed 21lbs 1.5oz which is in the 50th percentile
She was 30.5" which is in the 90th percentile
She got 4 shots (including H1N1) yesterday. Poor girl cried harder than she ever has before (and she DOES know how to cry)...it hurts a momma to see that! Are you with me?
The dr told me to get her off the night-night bottle. I am dreading this and have been putting it off since she doesn't take a binky. Hopefully it wont be too bad. Wish me luck!
P.S. Anyone know why my pictures are so pixel-y? They don't look like this when I view them on my computer

She's ONE!

Kinley Clare is ONE today!
One year ago today God blessed Zach and me by bringing this little miracle into the world. What a fun year it has been!
The three of us celebrated her big day with cake and presents. I hesitated to give her cake before her big party, but I decided that no one should go without cake on their birthday!

She was so dainty at first, picking the sprinkles and eating them one by one.

Then finally after several minutes she dug in! Everytime she would lick her fingers she would get riggers! It was too funny.

Then she insisted on feeding Daddy!

Here's her new shopping cart

Look at that sweet smile!

It has been a great day....minus the diarrhea K has had after the cake. Poor girl!
Happy B-day Kinley!

I can't believe it...

I am sitting here with a knot in my stomach at the thought that Kinley Clare will be 1 tomorrow. Kind of makes me want to vomit. Can anyone empathize?
I was thinking of what I was doing on Nov 10, 2008. I remember not sleeping much during the night because I knew I was to be admitted to the hospital for induction at 6pm. So I woke up early and got ready for work. I remember I had on a cute outfit and these shoes............how did these not make me go into labor?!! I do love to wear heals, although I am realizing that it is a little difficult with a baby. I am trying to be more conservative!
I worked most of the day trying to leave things tidy and feeling so anxious and excited about what would happen in the next 48 hours.
After work I came home, changed into something comfy and headed to the hospital. Here's Zach and me just before we left.
Yikes! I was HUGE! It is so funny that I really didn't think I was that big, until I look back at pictures. I guess I couldn't see myself from the same angle as all of you. Ha!

Kinley's big party is on Saturday with family and friends, but we are going to have a little party (just the 3 of us tomorow) so I will post pics of the b-day girl!

He is Enough

Amy over at How Sweet It Is has "Marquee Mondays". I LOVE the idea, so I am jumping onboard today even though it's Tuesday! There is a church we pass going to our house that always has sayings or scripture that speak to me. This one really got my attention the past couple days, so I'm sharing in effort to be a conduit! Have a great day!

Creative Playing

One of my favorite baby shower gifts (though there were MANY) was this inflatable bath tub. We began using it a little before she could sit up on her own when she could prop up leaning on the side. It was like HEAVEN to my back and I think she liked being more emersed in water (prior to this we used a big sponge that lays on the bottom of the tub).

A few weeks ago I decided Kinley had outgrown the little girl tub and was ready for the regular bath tub. So one evening I tossed the inflatable tub to Zach to deflate. When I came back into the living room, Kinley is sitting in it having a fabulous time. So it's found a permanent home in the living room.
Kinley is so funny to watch because she will push toys up to the side of the tub and then craw in her tub and play with the toys on the outside. She often uses it as a lounger!

P.S. She is really walking now. I am trying to capture a video of it, so stay tuned!

Happy Fall

I got a new camera for my birthday so Kinley and I made a trip to a local park for a walk and photo shoot to try out the camera. I still have a LONG way to go in terms of photography skills, but I had such a great subject and beautiful Arkansas foliage so I just insist on sharing!

She loved the leaves! Every single one she picked up went into her mouth, of course.

What's New

I know, I know it has been too long. We've been a busy crew, but I'm back!

Kinley turned 11 months this week. She is such a doll and I am enjoying every second with her. She has about 30 words that she says and it just makes me smile. Some of her new words include:
Roller - (like in your hair) which sounds like "wo-wa"
Whoa - this started when she was mocking Zach one night and it just too funny
Bath - sounds like "bas"- she loves her bath time
Diaper - sounds like "pi-por"

Tractor -this is actually pretty clear
Thank you - when she is eating, she loves to share her food. when she puts a bite into someone elses mouth she says "tak too" (Adorable!)

On Monday night while I was at Bible study, the little toot showed out for her DaDa. Here's a video of what I missed

Here's K saying thank you

It Once Was Lost, But Now Is Found?

My Camera! And what is a cameraless, bloggin' Momma to do? I wasn't real sure. But now that the camera has been located, my spirits are lifted! (Thanks Aunt Millie!)
I didn't want to wait too long between posts, so I thought I would tell you a little about what Miss Kinley is up to these days, specifically what she is saying.
So here's a list of what she says on a daily basis.

Ma-Ma and Da-Da
Duck
Jetta (our dog)
What's that (because this is what we constantly ask her)
Hi
Bye Bye
No-No
Glasses
Nose
Eyes
Mouth
Hair
Outside
Juice
Night Night
Elmo
Big Bird
More Melts (that's Yogurt Melts)
Nosey-Nosey (Eskimo kisses)

I am certain there are many more that I can't understand yet. She really jabbers a lot first thing in the morning when she is eating breakfast and after her naps. Maybe when the camera finally makes it home I can get some of these on video. It is most precious!

This picture is from a month ago, but it is just so hard to post without a picture!

GO HOGS GO!

We are calling our HOGS from Texas.
We came to welcome the newest member of our family, Presley Anna!
Isn't she georgeous!

Here's a proud family!
(Note: Mommy Lara didn't make this pic but she does get all the credit for the little angel!)
Here's my 10 month old baby girl. I love her in this little dress from the Richardsons!

This picture really got to me today. She is looking so much like a little girl and not as much baby.
