So Much To Say

We have some news to share! Here's Kinley to fill you in....

So we're having another girl! Yipee! We couldn't be more excited.
I was so anxious to find out the sex of the baby this time. Not sure why. Maybe because I was near convinced I was having twins because I was growing so big, so quickly.

My ultrasound at my OB wasn't scheduled until after the holidays and I was really hoping to know before we left for our Christmas travels. So we decided to go to a local ultrasound studio and find out early. It was so neat getting to watch the baby on a HUGE projection screen. The sonographer said she was certain we could start buying pink.  We got to watch her in 3D which is just amazing, but she didn't show her face much, but amazing none the less. Babies are such a miracle!!

Zach and I promised we wouldn't tell ANYONE until we saw our families and told them in person first. I didn't know how hard this would be! My goodness it's hard to keep a secret when you are so excited! I'm certain I lied to almost everyone I came in contact with over the 3 weeks from this ultrasound until Christmas because they asked me if we knew what we were having and I was trying to be discrete...so I lied! Ah! Sorry friends, please forgive me. I have repented.

Here is a 3D picture of baby girl I already have in a frame

We told our family by letting each grandma open  an "early gift" which was the "It's a girl" ornament Kinley is holding in the video and an ultrasound picture. It was so fun watching them open the gift.

Since this baby is a girl, too, we have decided to keep the nursery the same and create a "big girl room" for Kinley. She still sleeps great in a crib so we decided to buy another crib that converts to a toddler bed. Thankfully this bed is taller on the sides because she had just learned to crawl out of her other bed. I'm just not ready to let this girl have free reign on the house. Can I get an amen from mom's of toddlers?!!

I'm so completely blessed to have a talented, crafty mother-in-law! Not only is she a talented decorator, but she shares her skills!!  Mammy came and spent a week with us to help create Kinley's big girl room. I'm pretty sure she worked so hard she won't be coming back for projects anytime soon.
Thank you Mammy!! You are the best!

Being prego I wasn't much help on this project. I did provide snacks to the workers (Mammy and Zach) and take a few pictures along the way. I'm a terrible photographer, but I think you get get the jest.
Big girl room...taping  has begun

It's starting to look girly and pink

Here's the big sister all dressed up in her pjs and princess accessories

She was too funny during the process. She kept coming into the room saying
  " I Love It"

Kinley also helped paint her new room

We were able to transform the dresser as well. This was Zach's great-aunt's dresser that was passed down to Zach and now to Kinley. I think that's so cool!
This is the dresser being sanded.
We..I say we...but actually mean they...also painted the bathroom a jungle green that turned out so darling. This is it prepaint
And here's the finished product! I think it turned out adorable and most importantly, Kinley LOVES it!
She loves playing in her room and sleeps great in her big girl bed!

Saw the idea of the stripes and loved it but never really thought about or attempted to paint stripes. It's VERY difficult, but Daddy to the rescue! He measured and got them perfect,
The round knobs are from Hobby Lobby and the pulls are a Mammy creation
Found the idea of the ribbons tied on the rod with panels in a magazine
This was my toy box as a kid and Mammy did decoupage magic
Lots of food gets cooked in this kitchen each day!

This is Kinley's big girl bedding. It will look so cute when her bed is converted to a toddler bed. But I'm NOT rushing it :)
(this isn't her room...copied from Pottery Barn website)
The bathroom turned out really cute too and goes really well with both girl's rooms

didn't realize this canvas was crooked until the pic. ha!

I said over 2 months ago I wanted to post pregnancy stats each month ago and I have failed :(
It's been really difficult for me to blog in general lately, but anywho..no excuses. So this is my pregnancy update from my dr appt 2 weeks ago. And I really hate posting pregnancy pics of myself, but I have a few friends who have requested it, so I'll do it this time. No promises for future prego photos, girls!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 23 Weeks 5 days

Size of baby: a large mango (about 1 pound)

Total Weight Gain: 11 lbs

Maternity Clothes: Praise Jesus for maternity jeans and sweats! They are the happy part of my getting dressed each day. Fortunately I am able to wear a lot of my regular tops, but each day as I get dressed there is another item that's just too tight!

Gender: GIRL! Her name is Kamryn

Movement: This baby is SO active! I've even considered calling my drs office to see if a baby can be too active. I googled it and that was just dumb. Don't google medical/health things unless you want to hear and see craziness!

Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty good right now. I am so thankful

What I miss: Being able to bend and move around easily

Cravings: Salty things, but it's better or decreased from my last update when I wanted to drink pickle juice constantly. I'm also hooked on La Croix sparkling water lime or berry flavor

Symptoms: I'm an emotional rollercoaster!

Best Moment this week: Kinley patting my belly, saying "my baby sister." Even though I know she doesn't have a clue what is about to happen to her little world!

I'm certain that was the longest blog post ever. Thanks for reading if you've made it this far!

BIG Christmas post

We had such a great time with our family at Christmas. Zach's schedule worked perfectly so we were able to see both of our families at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I LOVED that!

Santa came to Mimi and Mony's house this year since we were there on Christmas. Kinley got quite a few books. She sat and looked at each one so sweetly. I wanted to take a picture to remember that because I can envision her tearing through her gifts in 3 minutes by next year like most kids do.
This is her new toddler Bible that she loves. The only problem (if you can really call it that) is that she wants to read every story, every time we read it. So you have to have quite a length of time to sit and read.
I'm embarrassed to say that and I know I will regret it when she doesn't want me to read to her anymore :(

 New puzzles

Christmas morning, can you tell we're all still sleepy?!

Aquadoodle! What a great invention!!

It has been a tradition in our family to read the Christmas story before opening gifts and I'm so glad it has continued!

Mimi's baking partner got a new apron

On my mom's side of the family it has been 19 years since we had a baby to entertain us. Kinley has filled in those shoes quite nicely. She gave a performance of 20+ songs and LOVED everyone cheering for her.
Not sure what song this was, but most of her songs have lots of motions...and if not motions she runs in a circle while she sings.

I'm really going to be sad when this happens and I know it's coming soon, but for about 28 Christmas' all of my cousins have been together on Christmas. I love so much that we can all be together, but we are starting families of our own and with that comes new traditions, work schedules, and traveling, etc.
Glad we got to be together this year with my sweet MawMaw

After spending 5 days in south AR, we headed to Texas to see Zach's family. First stop was to see his grandparents. Kinley was more interested in what she could find in Mamaw's house that she shouldn't touch than taking pictures.

Next stop, Mammy and Pop's house.
Cousin Kylie and Kinley had the best time together. Kinley thought she was such a big girl getting to play with her.

Two peas in a pod...Zach and Mason have touched, shaken, and counted every present under the tree.

Freeze cousins, plus Zach...not sure how that happened or why we didn't tell Zach to get out of the pic. Oh well. Still cute!

Kinley is getting everyone lined out
Kinley got a veterinarian kit. Must have been a sick puppy because it took 3 vets!

What a fun Christmas!
After traveling for 10 days we made it back home and are trying to get back into our routine.
While it's on my mind, here are a few of the latest Kinley funnies:

"I'm SOOO proud of you"
"Daddy's been a good boy, I'm going to give him a BIIIIG hug"
"good thinkin, Momma"
