It Once Was Lost, But Now Is Found?

My Camera! And what is a cameraless, bloggin' Momma to do? I wasn't real sure. But now that the camera has been located, my spirits are lifted! (Thanks Aunt Millie!)
I didn't want to wait too long between posts, so I thought I would tell you a little about what Miss Kinley is up to these days, specifically what she is saying.
So here's a list of what she says on a daily basis.

Ma-Ma and Da-Da
Duck
Jetta (our dog)
What's that (because this is what we constantly ask her)
Hi
Bye Bye
No-No
Glasses
Nose
Eyes
Mouth
Hair
Outside
Juice
Night Night
Elmo
Big Bird
More Melts (that's Yogurt Melts)
Nosey-Nosey (Eskimo kisses)

I am certain there are many more that I can't understand yet. She really jabbers a lot first thing in the morning when she is eating breakfast and after her naps. Maybe when the camera finally makes it home I can get some of these on video. It is most precious!

This picture is from a month ago, but it is just so hard to post without a picture!

GO HOGS GO!

We are calling our HOGS from Texas.
We came to welcome the newest member of our family, Presley Anna!
Isn't she georgeous!

Here's a proud family!
(Note: Mommy Lara didn't make this pic but she does get all the credit for the little angel!)
Here's my 10 month old baby girl. I love her in this little dress from the Richardsons!

This picture really got to me today. She is looking so much like a little girl and not as much baby.

growing girl

Just in the last few days it has hit me that Kinley isn't a little baby anymore. She is doing something new everyday it seems. And she already has enough hair for bows...without headbands, that is! And she is closer to walking than I am ready for her to be. Here are a few pictures and video from this week. Enjoy!

Fun in Texas

We had a great time visiting our Texas family. We had a fun time at Aunt LaLa and cousin Presley's baby shower. It was at a neat Tea Garden. So much fun...and lots of pink!

Here's Mammy, cousin Kylie and Kinley

Lara with a cutie Razorback onesie so Presley can call those Hogs from Texas!

On Saturday Kinley attended her first MLB game. Our Red Sox played Mammy and Pop's Rangers, but we aren't talking about the score.

We bought Kinley this Red Sox shirt on our babymoon in Boston last year. This was her first time to wear it!

Thought this was cute. Kinley like looking around at all the people and lights at the game

Last week Kinley started doing this funny smile where she wrinkles her nose and grins really big. I have been trying to get it on camera and succeeded today!

9 Months Already

Sweet Kinley turned 9 months yesterday. Here are her stats:
  • weighs 20 pounds
  • wearing 9 month and some 12 month clothes
  • has 3 teeth (and one more working its way it...what fun!)
  • jabbers a lot
  • knows mama and dada and says correct name to each
  • loves her walker
  • is crawling everywhere, quickly
  • is pulling up on everything and starting to cruise a little
  • she has a great pincher grasp and love to use it, especially when eating
  • loves to play patty-cake
  • gives kisses that will melt your heart
  • and unfortunantly the fits have begun....parenting just got a little harder the past few days. We have had to really had to enforce N-O a lot. I don't think I was prepared for it to be this frustrating. I'll update on the subject again next month and hopefully we will have made some progress....for the better!

Ok, so here's some pictures of our little princess

it's almost football season and in Arkanasas we're getting ready to call those HOGS!

she really loves Gabby which is quite unfortunant because Gabby has an extreme dislike for Kinley. this is K (so happy) feeding Gabby some grass, just before Gabby growled at her :(
No more pics please, mommy!
this girl loves to swing! look at those pearly whites shinning!
this just makes me smile!

Why God tests His people

Sometimes we wonder why God causes hardships on His people. This is from a message I heard several weeks ago in a lesson on doubting. As a child of God, we should never doubt that His plan IS perfect and He knew everything about us before we were born (Jer 1:5). So I wanted to share this today with you and pray that it speaks to you as it did me.
Here are 6 scriptures that tell why God tests His people
  • To see if we will obey Him -- Exodus 15:25-26 25 "Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There the LORD made a decree and a law for them, and there he tested them. 26 He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."
  • So that we might fear Him and not sin -- Exodus 20:20 "Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning."
  • To know our heart -- 2 Chronicles 32:31 "Even in the matter of the envoys of the rulers of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that had happened in the land, God left him alone only to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart."
  • To humble us and do us good in the end -- Deuteronomy 8:16 "In the wilderness He fed you manna which your fathers did not know, that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do good for you in the end."
  • To produce patience and endurance and make us perfect and complete lacking nothing -- James 1:2-4 "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."
  • To show His power in us -- Romans 9:17 ""I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth."
