I also thought that I would spend a few hours each week, or day even, while K is napping to keep a great scrapbook of her life. I've purchased an awesome scrapbook, great paper and beautiful embellishments...haven't even touched them since I brought them home.
All this said, I've heard lots of great things about digital scrapbooking and I want to learn more about it. If you can give me some info, websites to visit, tell me how you started, if it is as easy as I have been told, I would love to hear from you. And thanks in advance for enlightening me!
I can't post without a pic of the Princess in her new charriot (SW Arkansas version)

I'm with you on thinking that I would have time for all of that. But that's not a reality for me, especially now that I've put up the baby swing and Caleb only naps 30 minutes at a time! I've been trying to scrapbook and it's hard to find the time. I have a program called Scrapbook Factory Deluxe that my mom got for me a few years ago. She probably found it at Staples or Office Depot. I've never used it to make pages b/c I don't have a good printer but I use it for a lot of other things. It has backgrounds and little embelishments you can add to your pages. That's the only thing I've ever used but I'm sure there are a lot of things out there.
Kinley is just precious in her wagon!!
LOL!! I thought the same thing. My husband is still waiting. I have some websites someone gave me. I'll send them to you in an email.
I feel like I am doing good if both girls get a bath and clothes on.
I'm sure you are a wonderful SAHM, but it isn't easy is it?! LOTS of work all the time. Paxtin has finally settled into an afternoon napping routine for about 2 1/2 hours and I run around the house like my head is cut off! Share whatever scrap booking ideas/websites you find, please. This intrigues me and I would love to give it a shot. This is the only site I have ran across thus far.

Kinley is just the most precious baby and you are both so blessed!!

I thought the same thing. I wondered what I do with all my free time. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! That just makes me laugh now.
I haven't done one thing with Harper's baby book that I spent a lot of time on before she was born. SO Sad. I'm planning to turn my blog into a book and have it printed and that will just have to be good enough!
And P.S. I just picture you with such a perfect house and the gourmet meals - you seem to have it all together!
I'm laughing with you! Even though I don't stay home, I feel like I have 2 jobs. My office job and my home job. Some days I get in the car and have to make sure I got myself dressed!!!
See you soon! Rhonda
Erin, I feel like a total blog stalker since I see you every Monday night at Bible Study. :) But I've enjoyed checking out your blog since you posted it in the prayer email and seeing little Miss Kinley grow! :)
Digital Scrapping is my true addiction. And yes, ADDICTION is accurate! I got started when Amara (now nearly 5) was about 9 months old. I make a book for each year of the kids life, then I consolidate it into a family book for each calendar year (and give that as a Christmas gift to Grandparents). I'm telling you, digital is TOTALLY the way to go!
To get started - I tell people to go to www.adobe.com and download their free trial version of Adobe Photoshop Elements. It's the most universarl program that digital scrappers use, and it's pretty affordable, too (around $80). But it's SO much more powerful than cheaper counterparts.
Then go to a place for freebies. I've only bought a handful of digital kits (most for charity), simply because there are so many beautiful freebies out there! My favorite is http://ikeagoddess.blogspot.com because she hand picks all of her freebies, so they're all really high quality. I've also done a bunch of freebies when I dabbled in design. That's when I worked from home instead of the office and actually had TIME! I think the links are still active -- if not, just ask and I'll send them to you. My site is http://simplysarahdesigns.blogspot.com
If you want tutorials to help you get started, I met Hummie when I first started, and she feels called to teach beginners. She's got a bunch of getting started tutorials that she's put on video. I've not used them myself, but have heard from many people that she's really great at teaching. If you visit her site (www.hummiesworld.com) tell her Sarah sent you! :)
And if you want to get together for lunch or before Bible Studay some Monday, I'd love to get you addicted too! :)
I saw your comment to Laurie, so I came to visit your blog! I was interested, because I have a Kinley, too! I think it is such a beautiful name! =)
AND, I'm a teacher, so I am a SAHM in the summer- and I get next to NOTHING accomplished.
Came across your blog from Kelly's Korner. If you go to scrapblog.com it makes it SO easy--everything in one place and most of the things are free!
