Private Eyes

I've decided it's best for our family for our blog to go private. We created this blog as our family scrapbook and for our friends and family to keep up with us. Please leave a comment with your email address if you want to be added to our list of followers so you can view our blog. We'll be private in one week!

I'm playing catch up from a few weeks ago. We spent a week with Mimi and Mony and had such a fun time! Here are some of the highlights...

Kinley not cooperating in the pic...the norm these days!

Mimi treated me to a pedicure for Mother's Day. Kinley hung out with the boys while we were gone and this is what she looked like when we returned. ha!

Favorites

We've been spending quite a bit of time outside the past days since the weather has been so nice. There is a park near our house that we can walk to that is just Kinley's size. It also has a plastic green dinosaur that Kinley loves to chat with. She is ALWAYS asking to see the "di-sorrrr". Yesterday we took Daddy with us!

Another favorite thing K loves is a trick Daddy taught her...."knucks"!! Zach taught her to say boom when she gives knucks. Instead it comes out "boon" and it's adorable! Oh wait, I'm her mommy and I think everything she does is adorable! Kinley, please stop growing up!

Kinley counting to 6 in Spanish!

I'm not sure if it is good that I admit this, but she learned to count in Spanish from Dora. I will say that she can count to 12 in English and she DID learn that from us!

Put Me in the Zoo

My goodness blogging is hard these days! But I'm playing catch up for Kinley's scrapbook.
On Saturday we decided to visit a local zoo. I was so impressed at the animals they had for this being such a small area.  I encourage you to go if you live in NWA. It was a fun outting!

They had a small area set up as a petting zoo with goats, pigs, chickens, turkeys and ducks.

We were able to walk by some animals fenced in and Kinley seemed to like naming all the animals.

"Hello namels!"

There was also an area where you drive your car through the "wilderness". I just knew Kinley would like being able to see a variety of animals, but she was more concerned at pointing out the grass, trees and rocks! I guess she is only 18 months old  :)

During the drive through portion we met some friendly ostriches. (is that supposed to be plural? oh well.) I am certain this ostrich would have climbed in the car with us if I opened the door. He was not shy to say the least.  There was a sign that said keep your windows up.  I was so puzzled at that until I met Mr. Ostrich!  He was wanting Kinley to share her goldfish!

In this picture you can see the corner of the rear view mirror to get an idea of how close he was! Yikes!
This zebra was kind of nosey too, but a little less abrasive than the ostrich. So neat!
You can really tell in the picture but this kangaroo had her roo in her pouch! It was so cute!
Zach and I learned that we weren't as keen on knowing names of animals as we thought. Here were two we had to look up when we got home.  Got any guesses?!

Here's a couple pics I snapped for the grandmas! Happy Mother's Day!

Star Performer

I got some cute videos this week of Kinley. PLEASE forgive my baby talk voice and especially the singing! Yikes! But enjoy our sunshine :)
The first song she is singing is "Itsy Bitsy Spider"! Her favorite parts are "itsy bitsy spider" and "down came the rain" so that's all she sings :)
Kinley's friend Chayce was hanging out with us last week so you can hear him singing along in the background.

We are so proud of our cousin Melissa for making alternate for the Razorback Cheer Team! We are really looking forward to watching her call those Hogs this fall! The Hog Call has become one of Kinley's favorite things these days. I finally got her on video doing it!

I was really hoping she would cooperate with me on Saturday when she was decked out in her new Razorback dress and call the Hogs while we went to the spring Red and White game, but that was wishful thinking. I guess the pj's and bed head will do just fine when you're as cute as Kinley Clare!

Check out Jenna's blog if you don't know what the "Hog Call" is :)

We Love Spring!

The weather in NWA has been perfect for the last week or so and we are really enjoying playing outside. I'm certain Kinley asks to go outside at least 10 times per hour. She loves it and I am so glad!

We've been busy with our new swimming class, playgroups, having fun outside and visits from friends and family. Last week Mammy came to stay with us. She and Kinley had so much fun together!

Kinley turned 17 months this week. Her personality is really coming out more and more. I'm pretty sure she's going to be funny like her daddy.

Speaking of Kinley's Daddy, we celebrated the last year of his 20's yesterday. Happy B-day Da-Da!

We got some sidewalk chalk this week. I'm remembering how unartistic I am as I attempt to draw things that Kinley can recognize. Really hope she doesn't take after me in creativity!

Kinley's "wo-wos" or pillows are very important to her. My aunt Patti made us a few back ups just incase. Kinley has already found the stash in her closet.  Just before I snapped the picture she had the biggest smile on her face. Of course I missed it, but I still wanted to record her with her wo-wos!
