the graduate

So most of the posts on this blog are centered around Kinley, but not this time. We're bragging on Daddy today! Zach completed his Master of Science in Operations Management. I am so, so proud of you Zach and want you to know how much I appreciate you working so hard for to support our family. I know it was difficult to work all day and then go to school and get home after 10. You were such a trooper! Congratulations! I am so proud of you!!
Just got the diploma back from the Hobby Lobby frame shop! It looks so great.

Kinley Rides Again

Note:she does have on her pink cowgirl boots!

Here are more pics from our great weekend in South AR. Highlights included Mimi and Mony playing with K on Saturday while Zach and I had a little outting; K got a new walker...eventully she will grow into it; Mimi got to feed K some cereal for the first time (this is the lady who wanted to feed K cereal at 3 weeks old); and I got to see my great friend Ashley! Such a fun time!

Fun times!

What a fun weekend! We had a visit from Mammy, Aunt Lara, and cousins Mason and Nash. Here's Mammy with her babies! Can you tell she is happy?!!
Aunt LaLa and Kinley
So sweet!
Nash is 6 weeks older than Kinley and they were so cute with each other. It is so funny how completely differnt they are in looks, sounds, and temperment.
We had such a great time and can't wait for your next visit!
Ok, I have to admit something. On Friday I made a huge post about it being Spring. Well, it isn't Spring yet! You guys were obviously just way too nice to tell me that I am CRAZY! I have absoutely no idea where I heard it was the first day of Spring. It seems like I thought I heard it on the news, but I guess I was just dreaming. If I had been thinking about the date I would have realized it was too early for the Spring Equinox. Oh well. I'll blame it on baby brain!....how long can you get away with that?!
Just for the record, the "Vernal Equinox" is Friday, March 20 @ 6:44 (per astrology.com).

Oh How I Love Spring!

Happy Spring! Every year when the jonquils begin to bloom I seem to have a little boost in energy because I know warm weather is around the corner. I do love all seasons, but I am ready for the cold to go away. You certainly wouldn't know that today is the first day of Spring because it is 38 degrees outside, but the calendar says it's Spring and I am going with it!

Here's my princess also ready for Spring! This will be her Easter dress and we had to make sure it was going to fit. How adorable is that! Of course we will have the appropriate head and foot gear for Easter Sunday, but I had to snag a pic of this!

4 Month Update...Kinley weighed 14.88lbs (90th percentile) and was in the 95th percentile on height. Healthy girl!

Thanks to everyone who posted to the "When to start cereal poll". That was so fun. Here were the results...
earlier than 3 months -- 11 (16%)
3 months -- 10 (14%)
4 months -- 18 (26%)
5 months -- 9 (13%)
6 months -- 20 (29%)

Our doctor suggested yesterday that we go ahead a start some cereal. He said K was ready, so you can be looking for some pics with cereal smeared from ear to ear coming soon! Fun!

Back to the subject of Spring. I mentioned the jonquils blooming. That's what us folks from Southern Arkansas call this flower.

What do you call it? Daffolil? Buttercup? So who is right? Anyone knowledgeable in flowers? I'd be happy to be educated in which is correct.
Happy Friday and Happy Spring!

One Shoe Can Change Your Life...

...says Cinderella, one of my favorite Disney movies. How many shoes can one girl (or 4 month old) have?! We tell Daddy we can never have too many shoes! I've always loved shoes myself and I guess it has continued onto shopping for Kinley's shoes as well. I wonder if she will love shoes when she gets a little older? I'll start praying for her future husband just incase!!
These are all the shoes in Kinley's current size.
That includes 11 pair of shoes, 1 pair of boots, and 3 slippers.
I am proud to say that several came from resale shops!
So where do you shop for childrens' shoes?
For the grandparents, here's a pic of our 4 month old girl!
I can't believe it! (I know I say that everymonth)

Don't forget to post to the poll on when to start a baby on cereal. I will keep it open for a few more days. I'd love to hear your comment on that subject if you have one. Happy Monday!
