Snow Days

Just a heads up, this is a boring post. Sorry not much to blog about the last few days.
We've got LOTS of snow at our house. Around 2 feet. So while we're stuck inside here's what we've been doing.

We LOVE play-doh, but it's really hard to remember not to eat it

Crayola Color Wonder markers are fantastic. They only color on the paper. Its a win-win. Kinley gets to color independently and I don't have to clean up marker :)

This is the snow at our house around 9am Wednesday morning

Our counting color mat is fun
tend-like nap time with all our friends
Kinley was playing in her room and then suddenly I didn't hear her, which is usually a sign she's doing something she isn't supposed to be doing. This is what I found. She said "bear had to tee tee"

We had a fun time pulling out pots and pans in the kitchen. Today was pick your plate day and Kinley chose a pan a normally use for cornbread...but we're stuck with each other in the house, so whatever makes her happy also makes momma happy!

When I got the camera she said, "I make a tute (cute) face"

more play-doh time

lots of dress-up

when the snow FINALLY stopped, Daddy decided to shovel the driveway. I'm pretty sure he was tired of being locked in the house with us! ha!
K LOVED the snow! She cried when we had to come inside

We live in the south. This just isn't right! But is was beautiful

Now we're hoping it melts quickly!

What's a girl to do?......

...with so much snow?!!
Today is the 5th snow day at our house.  Thankfully the weather was cooperative today so we were able to all get out of the house for a bit. Kinley and I had a little cabin fever. Here's some of our activities this week...
Lounging on the couch in our pjs all day.
 Ring pops make everything better
we had lots of coloring time
we've read TONS of books. One of Kinley's favorites is her toddler Bible. It's so sweet to hear her tell the stories to her babies and stuffed animals and her "wo-wo" (that's the pink pillow)
Daddy got to stay at home with us a few days, so he got in on the coloring fun too!
girl time...we painting our finger nails and toe nails. Kinley was and still is thrilled about it. She keeps showing us her finger and toes

 dress-up sessions....no one is excluded
The temperature has just been too cold to play outside until today. Kinley had the best time helping Daddy build a snowman, eating snow and playing on her slide.
how cute is this hat?! Thanks Jen-Jen!
Daddy teaching K to eat the snow
 her expression
spitting it out! "Dat too told Da-Da"
making snowballs to throw at the dogs
Gabby the sled dog. She usually doesn't want much to do with the cold, but I think she was a little bored with being inside so much too

 It's Frosty!

yes his facial features are made of food. It was the best I could find. Gabby was hoping his eyes would fall off!
 My two favorites!

Y'all stay warm!

Ready for Spring

We had great weather over the weekend and a visit from Mimi and Mony.  They got Kinley a playset for the backyard for Christmas and brought it up when they came. Kinley loves it! I'm pretty sure she climbed on it at almost every angle possible.  One thing that's really great it that it's small and low enough that if she were to fall she wouldn't hurt herself. I know we will love spending time on it this spring and summer.

We took a short break for a snack. Kinley decided she wanted to read Courdory or as she calls it "Turtle Boy"

 All smiles with Mimi
 Not sure who's the silliest?!
